Evan Rachel Wood and Jamie Bell called it quits in 2006 after a year of dating.

Looks like love is in the air in Hollywood.

"True Blood" star Evan Rachel Wood and the original "Billy Elliot", British actor Jamie Bell, were spotted together in New York City on Friday.

The former love birds were seen strolling through city streets wearing similar gray garb, with their arms around each other.

The two actors previously dated for a year in 2006, with Wood and Bell even getting matching "J" tattoos, but the romance eventually fizzled out.

"We had matching tattoos because we knew our love would last for ever," Wood once said. "Trouble is, it didn't, things happened, we split. But I don't regret the tattoo. It reminds me of a great, great period in my life."

But things seem to have changed in the five years since the pair's last romance.

Wood, for one, has finally split from long time beau Marilyn Manson. Her on-again, off-again relationship with the rocker ended with a broken engagement last year.

Now, the actress appears to be singing to a different tune, praising the attributes of non-American men.

"Well, there's something about British men that's very charming and well mannered," she told the Telegraph.

Maybe there's one specific British man Wood is alluding to.

Google launches new product Prizes

It may be July 4th weekend but tech giant Google isn?t stopping its continual launch of new products.

On Sunday, Google launched prizes.org. It appears to be the start of a new contest site in the same vein as 99designs and other similar create-your-contest sites.

It?s not clear what the goal is here given Google?s emphasis on building up Android, Chrome and now Circles. But it was created by Slide, a largely autonomous division of Google that was acquired last year.

They so far have launched disco, a group messaging app and is rumored to be close to launching what appears to be a photo sharing app in Pool Party.

Disco and Prizes are babies from its China office while Pool Party appears to be the creation of Slide?s San Francisco team.

So will you play and create contests with Google? It seems like a logical choice if they are able to acquire enough users for both sides of the contests at once.

Salman Khan?s Being Human show at the HDIL India Couture Week 2010 on Saturday night was a feast for the eyes as the superstar dished out eight oomphy ladies of Tinseltown ? including the top three actresses of today, Katrina Kaif, Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra ? on the runway. Kareena and Priyanka were seen holding hands when they came for the curtain call with Salman and thus managed to dispel the gossip of any sort of animosity. The others to sashay down the ramp were Preity Zinta, Rani Mukerji, Bipasha Basu, Karisma Kapur and Sushmita Sen as Salman decoded fashion from 1920s to present times in a grand musical-like choreography. High on oomph quotient, the show only showcased eight ensembles but the drama ? the provocative dancing and the extravagant opulent props, made sure that everybody was dazzled. In Dabangg style Sallu had distributed whistles to everyone giving them virtually the licence to express their excitement when the leading ladies soared temperature on the catwalk. Preity opened the show strutting in a sexy black dress ? a provocateur that certainly made the audiences get going about the 1920s. The embodiment of 30s was the evidently slimmed down Katrina who was greeted by tap dancers and models dressed as the mafia of that era. Rani portrayed the 40s ? she glided in with Mughal-e-Azam clip and Pakeezah?s iconic track Chalte Chalte playing at the backdrop. Her nawabi tehzeeb was an instant hit as she bowed in front of the audiences in a vintage ?

Shia LaBeouf says he's done with 'Transformers'

Shia LaBeouf's days of battling the Decepticons look to be over, with the Transformers star saying he has nothing more to offer after three films playing kid-next-door Sam Witwicky.

The 26-year-old American actor said he was through with the action-packed franchise.

"I'm done," he told The Associated Press at the recent opening of "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" at the Moscow International Film Festival. "I'm sure they will make more of them. It's still a very hot franchise."

He added "I love making them (the movies). I love the crew. I love Michael (Bay). I love the cast. I love Sam ... but I don't have anything new to contribute and I don't think there's anywhere to take Sam really."

LeBeouf's nerdy character helped one alien race of robots, the Transformers, overpower another race, the evil Decepticons, with Earth as the battleground.

Directed by Michael Bay, "Transformers 3" also stars Patrick Dempsey, Frances McDormand, John Malkovich and Victoria's Secret model Rosie Huntington- Whitely. Paramount Pictures said the movie earned $37.3 million Wednesday in the U.S. on its first day - a 40 percent drop from its predecessor, "Revenge of the Fallen."

LaBeouf explained Witwicky's role in the latest movie.

"Nobody really cares about Sam anymore. He has no purpose. He saved the world twice and has sort of been thrown to the side. This is a dude who used to validate himself on his involvement with these robots,

(but) these robots no longer need him," he said in the AP interview. "This is like the most broken Sam's ever been in the three movies ... and he sort of builds himself up through the course of the film."

In addition to the Transformers series, the talented actor also starred in the 2010 film "Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps," "Eagle Eye" in 2008 and "Disturbia" in 2007.

The Transformers trilogy was based on the cartoons of the 1980s that were themselves inspired by the Marvel Comics comic book of the same name.

Will.i.am Evacuates Burning Hotel in London

Will.i.am appeared to maintain his composure on Friday, despite being evacuated from his London hotel that caught on fire.

The Black Eyed Peas frontman, 36, was photographed calmly covering his face with a T-shirt as he was escorted out of the burning 28-story Park Lane Hilton.

In town for business, the pop star had a performance scheduled for the evening with his band mates at Hyde Park, close to where the fire took place. He later Tweeted from the performance.

At least 20 firefighters were on the scene once news of the disaster broke. According to reports, no one was injured, but there were at least 1,500 guests and staff who fled the property.

No official cause of the fire has yet been released, but it reportedly began on the second floor in the kitchen.

Monaco's Prince Albert has another wedding

Prince Albert of Monaco and Charlene Wittstock wed, again.

That's right. The royal couple of Monaco followed their civil wedding on Friday with a Roman Catholic ceremony Saturday in front of some 300 guests gathered in the Main Courtyard of the Prince's Palace in Monaco.

Among the celebrity guests in attendance: fashion designers such as Karl Lagerfeld, Roberto Cavalli and Georgio Armani; supermodel Naomi Campbell; French President Nicolas Sarkozy; and actor Roger Moore.

Armani confirmed early this year that he would be the wedding dress designer. The gown was an off-white silk design featuring a long train with floral embroidery trimmed with stones in gold shades and crystal.

Brooke Mueller: Out of Rehab, Reportedly Doing Well

According to a friend, Brooke Mueller watched herself on The World According to Paris, hated the person she saw and checked herself into a 45-day outpatient rehab program.

This is interesting news for two reasons:

1. Someone is actually watching The World According to Paris.
2. Charlie Sheen's ex might finally be on the road to recovery.

Faces such as this and scenes such as this made Brooke Mueller realize: I need help.

This insider tells E! News that Mueller has now completed the program, regularly attends AA meetings and has a sponsor.

"She is out. She is doing amazingly well."

As entertaining as Mueller and Sheen's antics can be, let's all hope this is true. They have a pair of young kids, after all.

Is 'Glee' Expelling Chord Overstreet?

Last year, 'Glee' creator and head writer Ryan Murphy brought new characters to the forefront, but not all of them will remain stars at McKinley High.

Chord Overstreet (Sam on 'Glee'), who joined the show for season 2, is not returning to the series as a regular this fall, according to Deadline.com.

At the same time, breakout guest star Darren Criss (who plays Kurt's boyfriend, and Warblers' frontman, Blaine) has earned a promotion, and will be upgraded in the show's credits for season 3, joining the regular cast. Harry Shum, Jr., who plays the dancing love interest of Jenna Ushkowitz (Tina), will also become a regular.

Overstreet, 22, tweeted on Friday, "Well its been a good yr too bad its over, time for summer and starting fresh."

The Nashville native hasn't been kicked off the show entirely: his contract will reportedly allow for guest appearances in future episodes.

The 'Glee' tour is wrapping up after weeks of live shows around the country. Fans who missed the concert can see the New Directions kids, including Overstreet, in a movie about the tour when 'Glee Live! 3D!' opens on the big screen Aug. 12.

Murphy recently confirmed that most, if not all, the student characters on 'Glee' will soon move on with their lives, with many original cast members "graduating" in May 2012. He told TVLine, "Do we really want to have an eight-year [high school] senior? The only way somebody could stay on the show is if they flunk, and that is always a possibility. I think Brittany is pulling straight Fs."

Actress Salma Hayek?s husband Francois-Henri Pinault is the father of former supermodel Linda Evangelista?s son Augustin.� Evangelista is taking Pinault to court over child support.

French billionaire Francois Henri Pinault, who wed beautiful actress Salma Hayek in 2009, is confirmed to be the daddy to Linda Evangelista?s four-year-old son.� Pinault also has a daughter, Valentina, also four-years-old.

The New York Post claims that Evangelista and Pinault conceived their son in early 2006, when Francois and Salma were separated. Salma and Francois split again in July 2008 but later reconciled.

Evangelista was spotted in court yesterday attempting to reach an agreement on child support with her baby-daddy.

The former supermodel has been to court three or four times but has yet to reach agreement with the billionaire.

It appears as if the case between Pinault and Evangelista will go to trial over child support.

Prince William & Kate Middleton Bid Farewell to Ottawa

After tending to three days of duties in Ottawa to begin their North American tour, Prince William and Kate Middleton waved farewell as they made their Royal Tour 2011 departure at the Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier International Airport in Ottawa, Canada on Saturday (July 2).

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were ushered aboard an awaiting aircraft after spending the day at a tree planting ceremony and the Candian War Muesum for the unveiling of a mural by Augustus John.

As previously reported by GossipCenter, Will and Kate are scheduled to make their way to the French-speaking Quebec province to "tour a flagship Montreal hospital dedicated to the care of mothers and children."

Also in store for the newlyweds during their Quebec stop, reports tell the twosome will be attending "a workshop at a cookery school in Montreal, for which the couple will roll up their sleeves and cook with the students using local ingredients."

Did Cindy Anthony search for chloroform as she testified?

When she took the stand last week, Cindy Anthony shocked the courtroom by taking responsibility for several incriminating searches on the family computer.

On Friday, the prosecution called John Camperlengo, chief compliance officer for Gentiva Health, the company where Cindy Anthony worked in March 2008. He testified that Cindy was making entries at her office computer at the same time she claimed she had search for chlorophyll, which led her to various sites about chloroform, as well as searches for "chest injuries."

Camperlengo testified that, because Gentiva complies with HIPAA laws, they monitor all logins and logouts on the business computers.

"Was Mrs. Anthony logged in and working on those dates?" asked prosecutor Linda Drane Burdick.

"Yes," Camperlengo said.

At the testimony, Cindy Anthony vigorously shook her head and sighed.

Then Cindy Anthony's supervisor took the stand. Debbie Polisano testified that the record-keeping rules at Gentiva were strict. Presented with company time cards, Polisano testified that Cindy Anthony was at work when the searches were conducted.

"It would have been illegal to say she was working when she was not," Polisano testified.

Prosecutors allege that Casey Anthony used chloroform to kill her daughter, 2-year-old Caylee, and that these searches ? done three months before the toddler's death ? show that the crime was premeditated.

Casey Anthony, who could face the death penalty in the murder trial, had no reaction to the testimony on Friday.

Howard Donald to take flying lessons

Howard Donald is going to learn to fly.

The Take That singer has ordered a special vehicle that can travel both in the sky and on water, and is planning to study for his pilot's license ahead of taking delivery of the craft.

He said: "I'm going to be doing my private pilot's license. I ordered a plane last year from America.

"It's an amphibious plane so it can land on water and land.

"That doesn't arrive until 2013 so I've got to learn to fly one before it arrives. It's always been one of my ambitions to fly a plane. Can't wait."

Once Howard gets his pilot's license, he joins a host of famous faces who can fly planes.

Tom Cruise, John Travolta, Angelina Jolie and Blur stars Dave Rowntree and Alex James can all take control in the sky.

Last year, supermodel Gisele Bundchen passed her written exam for her pilot's license.

Keith Douglass, president of Shoreline Aviation, a company that provides private jets and aviation lessons, said at the time: "She's very dedicated. She flies at least three days a week. Flying a helicopter isn't easy - it's a handful, because you can't stop flying and just cruise, but she's doing great."

Hilary Swank took lessons ahead of her role as famous aviator Amelia Earhart in 'Amelia', and admitted at the time she planned to continue training to get her full pilot's license.

She explained: "I'd like to get my license and continue to go up on my own.

"I flew for 19 hours, but they couldn't let me go up when they were shooting. I taxi the plane - but that's on the ground, and I would like to see this through."

Lohan released from house arrest

Lindsay Lohan plans to immediately start her community service at Downtown Women's Center.

LOS ANGELES - Lindsay Lohan is a free woman.

The "Mean Girls" star was released from house arrest at 10:20 a.m. Pacific time on Wednesday, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said.

A representative from Sentinel Electronic Monitoring arrived at her $2 million Venice, Calif., townhouse at 9:15 a.m. and removed her ankle monitoring device, TMZ.com reported.

Though she's planning a "low key" celebration for the weekend, Lohan told friends and family she would make a beeline for the Downtown Women's Center where she must complete 360 hours of community service for her necklace theft.

"She's staying in Los Angeles and planning a quiet birthday dinner," her mom Dina Lohan told the Daily News.

The troubled actress turns 25 on Saturday.

"It will be very low key with family and close friends. And then she plans to return to her community service right away," Dina said. "She's really looking forward to working with the kids at the shelter."

The Long Island mom said that despite reports, Lindsay would not join ex-girlfriend Samantha Ronson and fellow actress Chloe Sevigny at a Hamptons bash celebrating DJ Paul Sevigny's 40th birthday.

"Hopefully she'll get back to New York soon to celebrate with her grandmother who's 85 and doesn't really like to fly. But there's no party in the Hamptons," Dina said.

Lohan, 24, started house arrest at her posh pad in late May after admitting she took a diamond necklace from a neighborhood jewelry store without paying for it.

The judge sentenced her to 480 hours of community service and 120 days in jail, but Lohan scored house arrest because she was a non-violent offender in an overcrowded jail system.

Lohan, still on probation for her 2007 DUIs, spent her home detention cooking, reading scripts and hosting a rooftop party that got her into trouble after she failed a booze test.

Does Prince Harry Have a New Girlfriend?

Prince Harry has been dating someone new, according to the best-selling U.K. newspaper the Sun.

She is sometime actress and swimwear and lingerie model Florence Brudenell-Bruce, 25. The pair have been having "secret trysts" and spending time together at her London home in Notting Hill, according to Wednesday's editions.

A descendant of 19th-century war hero the Earl of Cardigan, who led the Charge of the Light Brigade during the Crimean War, Brudenell-Bruce is reported to have said, "There's not that much to say" when asked about Harry, 26.

An unidentified source tells the tabloid that the two are an item, though, admittedly, it is early in their relationship.

A Palace spokesman said, "We don't comment on the Prince's personal life."

LAPD contract expected

The City Council is expected today to approve a three-year contract with Los Angeles police officers that officials expect will save the city $300 million over three years and hope will serve as a model for a labor agreement with firefighters.

The pact includes no salary increases for the fiscal year that begins Friday, July 1; a 1 percent bump on July 1, 2012; a 2 percent jump on Jan. 1, 2013, followed by 1 percent increases on July 1 and Nov. 1, 2013; and a 2 percent increase on March 1, 2014.

In addition, overtime will be capped at 800 hours, although officers will have to take compensatory time off once they get to 600 hours.

Rank-and-file officers also will have the choice of contributing more toward their health care plan or having the city's contribution frozen at a fixed amount each month.

"It will be interesting to see what the officers decide," City Administrative Officer Miguel Santana said. "We would expect younger officers to opt for the frozen rate, but we'll see."

Santana said earlier this week that concessions by police officers will save the city $116 million in fiscal 2011-12, $102 million in 2012-13 and $98 million in 2013-14.

Paul Weber, president of the Los Angeles Police Protective League, said the proposed contract is the result of compromises made by

both the union and the city.

"As in any contract negotiation, neither side got everything that it wanted," Weber said. "However, we believe this contract is fair, but it reflects the current budget issues faced by the city."

The officers' union approved the deal by an overwhelming margin, according to those familiar with the talks.

Meanwhile, negotiations continue with United Firefighters of Los Angeles City. If the city offers a similar contract, UFLAC President Pat McOsker said he believes it will be approved.

"We are always usually pretty close to the LAPD and I think our guys would approve that," McOsker said.

Santana, who is returning from a trip to meet with the city's lenders, said the agreements are important in cutting the city's structural deficit.

"We are in much better shape now than we thought we would be in two years ago," Santana said. "At that time we were looking at a $500 million problem. Now it's about $200 million. That's a major cut."

Aaron Carter Says Michael Jackson Gave Him Cocaine

Two years after his death, Michael Jackson continues to leave an indelible mark on his pop peers and disciples -- and some of it isn't so good. In a revealing interview with OK! Magazine (via Long Island Press) singer/rapper Aaron Carter tells a tale of drug use and underage drinking with the former King of Pop.

"I never talked about it... This is the first time. I do... I miss Michael... I have spent such incredible times with him. I did things with him that nobody else did... But I was also troubled about what he did to me... Yes, he gave me wine. I mean, I could have refused, but I was 15."

The 23-year-old brother of Backstreet Boys member Nick Carter is known for his 2000 hit 'Aaron's Party (Come Get It)' and for his venerable anecdote of defeating an NBA superstar in 'How I Beat Shaq.' After riding the top of the pop wave, Aaron was introduced to Michael Jackson, who supposedly introduced the young singer to drugs.

"He gave me cocaine. I felt weird about that and other stuff... We spoke afterwards, hours and hours, on the phone. I admired Michael, but his behavior bothered me a lot. Then my mother called the police..."

Back in 2004, Carter's mother openly spoke with 'Access Hollywood' about a night Aaron spent unsupervised at Jackson's Neverland Ranch, suggesting that the elder singer gave her son drugs. "I don't do drugs. I didn't do them with Michael Jackson and I don't do them with anyone else," Aaron subsequently told People magazine.

But now it seems that Carter has finally come to terms with the past. This news comes days after the National Enquirer (via Perez Hilton) reported that the singer's former manager Aldo DiSorbo has been holding a crystal-studded jacket (given to Carter by Jackson) as collateral over a $100,000 loan.

An Angel's Idea for a Fund

Over the last year I have spent more time talking to interesting women about a variety of topics.� What kind of work they do, their companies, their ideas, their families, how to fund more women entrepreneurs, how be more transparent about our lives to help the next generation, etc.�

One of the many topics is how to connect more women angels, like myself.� I certainly have a small handful of people that I show businesses to that come across my desk.� I am curious what they might think and perhaps if we would invest together.� Also, it helps when doing diligence.� Regardless of those conversations, there is a lot of singular focus and there is something to said for group that is focused on the same thing, like a company.�

I have been thinking about what a womans fund would look like for a while.� I have investments in tech based companies but I also have investments in companies that for lack of a better description are brick and mortar models.� Certainly the brick and mortar models use tech but their businesses only use it because it helps them expand and everyone must have a social media/site as part of their business these days.�

Here is my idea.� 50% of the capital raised would go to tech related businesses.�

Tech related is a broad topic so I define it as a business that uses tech as a platform to create their business and without the technology piece, they wouldn't be in business.� I have already invested in companies like that such as Food52, Red Stamp, Catch-a-Fire, Curbed/Eater/Racked, Nest.io, Editd, Edition01 and� DailyWorth.� Btw, except for Curbed Media, all of these companies were started by women entrepreneurs and most of them have a balance of women and men at the top of the company.� To me, that makes for a much better organization.�

The other 50% would go towards more brick and mortar operations.� Those term sheets are much different.� I would set up a group of advisors around these businesses to help insure their success.� Where in the tech world you generally have multiple investors that can give advice and help the entrepreneurs grow their company, in the brick and mortar not so much.� There are a few models in the non-profit world where money has been given to women to start their own businesses and there is a path that they follow that helps the entrepreneur avoid many pitfalls. �

Those businesses, again started by women entrepreneurs, have a difficult time get funding.� Think of a woman in a community who is interested in a business where she provides all the sweatshirts, t-shirts, sweatpants, etc. to all the local schools in the area.� A bank is not interested in funding someone like that but perhaps we would.�

If we could come up with something where more women are getting funded to create companies that could grow in range from $10M to $100M that are evenly balanced between men and women at the top and provide jobs opportunites for people who have chosen to stay home and want to work hours that work with their life style or want to re-enter the work place, the impact in the economy and communities could be significant.�

Not saying I am doing this but am just thinking out loud.�
